A vehicle carrying beehives hit a truck today near Mediterranean resort of Marmaris, releasing the furious insects and starting a nightmare for all the people involved in the crash. Around 20 people were stung and taken to the hospital, including rescue squad which was suppose to get the injured out of the scene. The bees were infesting the whole area and the local beekeepers where called into the action using blankets, fire and water hoses to drive the bees away from the scene. It took the about an hour to evacuate all injured and stung from the scene.

A similar accident happened in 2006 when the van carrying beehives overturned on the road releasing the dangerous stingers that nearly killed two drivers.
